Melissa (“Missy”) Katcher, M.S.W., L.M.S.W., is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and parents as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful growth. Known for her warm, empathic approach, Missy creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered. She has a strong clinical focus on trauma and is a certified EMDR provider, helping individuals process and heal from difficult experiences with care and expertise.
Missy takes an individualized, goal-oriented approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs. She specializes in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, communication, parenting, and stress, with an emphasis on building resilience and balance. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, and expressive approaches like art and play therapy, she helps clients develop practical tools for lasting change. She earned her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University and previously worked extensively with at-risk youth and families in the Wayne-Westland community.
