Hillary Hamilton, M.S.W, L.C.S.W.

Hillary Hamilton, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, adolescents, adults, and families. She provides individual and family therapy for clients facing challenges related to mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD; behavioral concerns such as oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder and anger management, developmental disabilities—including cognitive impairments and autism spectrum disorder, LGBTQ+ and gender identity exploration, social skills development, trauma, foster care and adoption-related issues, and educational challenges such as school truancy, bullying and learning disabilities.

Hillary is experienced in working with complex and co-occurring conditions, providing integrated support that addresses the whole person within their family and community. She is committed to trauma-informed care and culturally competent practice, ensuring that treatment is respectful, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each client.

With over 15 years of experience across a variety of clinical settings including residential programs, inpatient units, after-school programming and private practice, Hillary offers comprehensive support tailored to each client’s unique needs. In addition to direct therapeutic work, she has facilitated parent support meetings focused on age-appropriate discipline and the use of natural consequences to promote positive behavior. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches and emphasizes practical strategies that foster consistency and lasting positive change. Hillary’s client-centered approach creates a safe and supportive space for growth and healing, offering compassionate guidance to help clients build resilience and develop healthy coping skills.

Hillary is passionate about collaborating with individuals and families to develop personalized skills that support success. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Wayne State University School of Social Work, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Child Welfare. Hillary offers therapy sessions both virtually and in person at the CFSC office in Bingham Farms, with availability Tuesday through Saturday.
