Rosa Thomas, M.A., L.L.P., brings over 30 years of experience in the mental health field and has dedicated her career to supporting adults, adolescents, families, and adults. She helps clients work through a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, grief and loss, family transitions such as divorce, trauma, OCD, eating disorders, and LGBTQIA+ related issues. No matter the challenge, Rosa’s focus is on helping people build resilience, improve day-to-day functioning, and feel more confident in themselves.
Rosa draws from many evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. She is trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, trauma-focused care, play therapy, family and couples therapy, and solution-focused interventions. Clients describe her as both compassionate and practical, combining warmth with strategies that help them move forward.
Beyond her clinical work, Rosa has held leadership roles in Michigan’s public mental health and primary care systems, where she contributed to program development, quality improvement, and led the creation of the statewide Michigan Crisis and Access Line. Her expertise was also recognized when she was appointed by the Governor of Michigan to the School Safety and Mental Health Commission.
Rosa holds a Master’s degree in Psychology with a certification in Neuropsychology and Integration of Health Care. She provides therapy in both English and Spanish and is passionate about offering culturally responsive care. Rosa values creating a safe, supportive space where clients of all ages feel heard, understood, and empowered to create positive change.
