Jillian Gismondi, M.A. is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with more than twenty years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in outpatient settings. In addition to her clinical work, she also serves as the Professional Development Lead for the practice.

Jillian specializes in working with anxiety, ADHD, neurodiversity, depression, blended families, emotional challenges, defiance, self-esteem, women’s issues, giftedness, parenting and adjustment concerns. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), supportive therapy, and skill building. Jillian also has extensive experience collaborating with schools to guide parents and educators in implementing effective interventions and accommodation plans.

She has provided numerous trainings on topics such as communicating with teens, bridging the generation gap, parenting and creative therapeutic strategies for clients with ADHD. Jillian is recognized for her empathy, use of humor, and her ability to connect with clients in ways that foster growth and positive change.

Jillian earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Albion College and her master’s degree in Counseling from Oakland University, where she also completed additional post-graduate training with a mental health specialization. She is a member of CHADD, a national organization that supports individuals with ADHD.

Outside of her professional role, Jillian enjoys traveling, reading, exploring museums, and spending time with her family.

Jillian is currently accepting new referrals and sees clients Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday. She offers early morning, late afternoon, and evening appointments to provide flexible scheduling options for her clients.
