Teletherapy

CFSC is proud that all of our talented therapist are able to offer Teletherapy.

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a way of conducting therapy that has been growing and become more popular in recent years. Using HIPAA compliant and secure technology, a therapy session can be conducted via video on your computer, smart phone or tablet and even over the phone. Teletherapy is becoming increasingly more popular due to the convenience and how it has been shown to be as effective as in person therapy.

Is it covered by my insurance?

Most insurances, including most Blue Cross plans, will cover and treat teletherapy sessions in the same way as if you were in our office. Our office will work with you to verify your benefits.

Is Teletherapy effective for younger children?

This depends on the goals and where your child is developmentally. When teletherapy is the only option, our therapist are working on creative and constructive ways to keep the child engaged. Our therapists can partner with you to work on developing an approach that will be productive, flexible and help work on achieving your goals. In many cases, the work on behalf of young children may be largely working with the parents.

How do we maintain confidentiality?

We will work with you to identify and time and location within your home or office that will allow for privacy.
