Lindsay Peterson, M.S.W., L.L.M.S.W.

Lindsay Peterson, M.S.W., L.L.M.S.W is a limited licensed clinical social worker specializing in work with children, adolescents, and young adults. She is relocating to Metro Detroit and joining CFSC in February of 2022. Lindsay is experienced in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, adjustment disorders, depression, grief, stress management, behavioral modification, and trauma. Prior to coming to CFSC, she worked for several years as an outpatient therapist in a child and adolescent program within a community mental health center.

Lindsay uses a client-centered approach to create a safe environment for clients to process and manage emotions. She is trained in motivational interviewing and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Lindsay utilizes several evidence-based strategies such as solution-focused therapy, CBT, exposure therapy, mindfulness, and play therapy.

Lindsay received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Toledo. Her master’s degree focused on working with children and families. She has completed 4000 hours of supervised social work in Ohio and is awaiting approval for full licensure in Michigan. She practices under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical social worker.

In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and dog as well as cooking, music, and nature.
