Jillian Gismondi, M.A., L.P.C. is a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor who has over a decade of experience serving adults, adolescents, children, and families in outpatient settings. Areas of specialty include anxiety, ADHD, depression, blended families, emotional challenges, defiance, self esteem and adjustment concerns. She utilizing effective and evidenced based strategies and approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), supportive therapy and skill building. Jillian has provided trainings in communicating with teens, bridging the generation gap and creative therapy approaches for clients with ADHD. She is known for her great empathy, use of humor and ability to connect in a way that promotes change.
Jillian received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Albion College and her master’s degree in counseling from Oakland University. She pursued and gained post graduate training with a mental health specialization from Oakland University. She is a member of CHADD, a national organization supporting those with ADHD. In her free time, Jillian, enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Jillian is currently accepting new referrals and works Tuesday-Saturdays in our office.
