Hillary Mortenson Hamilton, M.S.W, L.C.S.W.

Hillary Mortenson, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in children, adolescents and families. Her areas of expertise include individual, group and family therapy with children, adolescence and their families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem, gender identity, severe trauma, behavioral defiance, foster care and adoption, substance abuse, developmental disability including cognitive impairment and autism spectrum disorders, difficulty expressing emotions, anger management, school truancy, bullying, adjustments and educational deficiencies.

She has over 10 years of experience working in clinical settings including residential, inpatient and after school programing. In addition to working one-on-one with her clients, Hillary has led parent support meetings focusing on age appropriate discipline and how to enforce natural consequences to create success in the home.

Hillary is passionate about working with families to help develop skills that will best suit each persons unique need while gaining success at school and home. Hillary graduated with her Bachelor and Master’s degree from Wayne State University School of Social Work, focusing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and child welfare. Hillary sees clients at CFSC on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings and Saturdays 9-4.
